    The exhibitions Urgent Conversations: Athens–Antwerp and Urgent Conversations: Antwerp – Athens are a collaboration between EMST and M HKA, a theoretical and visual dialogue, based on works from the collections of both museums, which includes more than 70 works structured in 22 topics.

    Raised in Israel. Yael Kanarek is involved with new media. She is the founder of The Upgrade, an international network of artists and curators who are involved in art, culture, technology and activism. In 1995 she begins the World of Awe (www.worldofawe.net), a work in progress in the form of an imaginary traveller’s journal, via which photography, internet art, sculpture, music, writing, dance etc., are incorporated, so as to explore the relationship between language, memory, narration and technology. She has been awarded with international awards and prizes. She has exhibited her work internationally, in festivals, solo and group exhibitions.
